Imitation leather

Close-Up vom Material Kunstleder

Nowadays, upholstery covers made of imitation leather are almost indistinguishable from real leather. This cover material is natural fiber fabric or synthetic fibers, which are coated with a soft PVC surface.

Advantages: Durable and robust! Dimensionally stable & UV resistant! Easy to clean!

Care Instructions: The easy-care and robust imitation leather can be easily cleaned when soiled. The surface only needs to be wiped. For heavier soiling, mild mild detergent or soapy water is also sufficient for cleaning. If necessary, wipe with a dry, non-fluffy cloth.

Fabric / Velvet

Close-Up vom Material Samt

Our fabric upholstery covers are made of pure synthetic fibers. The cover material polyester is high quality synthetic fibers. This makes the fabric very resistant to tearing and abrasion, so it is very suitable for your catering business.

Advantages: Durable! Easy to clean! Long life!

Care instructions: To remove stains or dirt, we recommend a sponge moistened with soapy water. Also suitable is a cloth, e.g. cotton, with which you rub gently in one direction. To help the fabric dry faster, you can use a hair dryer.

VEGA quality standards for furniture

Horeca furniture has to withstand a lot in everyday use! Our furniture quality standards ensure trouble-free use for the catering industry. Only if furniture meets these standards, it will be included in our assortment:

  • Material selection: The materials of our furniture go through rigorous testing to meet the tough requirements of the hospitality industry. In the process, they are tested in the testing laboratory for various situations encountered in everyday catering.
  • Tilt resistance: We test all our seating furniture for tilt resistance according to the EN 1022 standard, where the seating furniture is loaded with a certain load on the backrest. In doing so, the object must not tip over.
  • Load capacity: The maximum load capacity of our seating furniture is 160 kg per seat. In long-term tests, we ensure that the furniture can withstand this load permanently.
  • Fire protection: Our upholstered furniture meets the most important European fire protection standards required for hotel or restaurant furnishings. This greatly minimizes the fire risk for furniture.
  • Durability: All our seating furniture is tested for durability according to the EN 1728 standard. The seat and backrest must withstand 100,000 load cycles. Thus, in 8 days in the test laboratory, up to five years of use in the catering industry is simulated.
  • Duration of use: Our seating is very durable and will last for many years with average use. This long service life is simulated and tested in the testing laboratory.

Quality tests for upholstered furniture

Upholstered furniture is more sensitive than furniture made of wood or other materials. Nevertheless, our upholstered furniture is suitable for the catering industry because it meets the most important ISO standards: Abrasion resistance (ISO 12947-2), Lightfastness (ISO 105 B02), Abrasion resistance (ISO 105 X12), Pilling resistance (ISO 12945-2).
