Vegan grill flares
Ingredient list
For the grill flares
150 g seitan
50 g flour
30 g yeast flakes
200 ml water
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tbsp. canola oil
1 tbsp. soy sauce
5 g smoked salt
10 g mushroom powder
For the marinade
20 g agave syrup
125 ml rapeseed oil
100 malt beer
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. mustard
5 g chopped garlic
10 g smoked paprika powder
1 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. salt
10 g fresh thyme
1 tsp. cumin
40 g vegan BBQ sauce

How to do it:
- Soak wooden skewers in water.
- Then mix all ingredients for the grill flares and knead well until an elastic dough is formed. 3. now divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Now divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, one piece of dough is equal to the amount for one wooden skewer. Knead each piece of dough into a small sausage and then roll out flat.
- Then wrap the rolled out pieces of dough around the skewers. To do this, skewer the dough at the bottom end of a skewer and wrap it around the wooden stick. At the top end of the skewer, skewer the dough again to secure it.
- For the marinade, mix all the ingredients in a stand mixer. Place the skewers in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them.
- The grill flares should be left to marinate for a few hours. The longer the grill flares are left to marinate, the better they taste.
